I hate to say it, but I think
Ann Coulter is on to something.
For all those who buy into the "well, it was 40 years ago" defense Obama offered for his close ties to Billy Ayers, I will offer this question. Had a candidate had a fund raiser at Timothy McVeigh's house would that not be an issue? Ayers and his friends were responsible for more bombings, though fewer deaths, than McVeigh, yet, because they were "on the right side", they get a pass on their past misdeeds and hold professorships and host Democratic fund raisers instead of spending their lives in jail for (at the very least) attempted murder.
I know the press has given Obama a pass on this (as they do for almost everything he does), but this should be a much bigger issue.
NOTE: All those essays I promised are still coming. I only had time for this short post right now.
