It appears that newspaper reporters are finally starting to listen to the people, rather than listening to themselves. Admittedly, the
article my wife forwarded me is skeptical of these "Redneck Riviera" voters, but at least they are listening.
What amuses me is that the domestic press has yet to really notice. They are still listening to their own commentary and polls and ignoring a truth I have mentioned
before. Of course Hillary and Obama have been ahead in the polls until recently. The press has been almost silent on McCain except when they think they have a scandal, such as his Middle East "
gaffe" or his supposed
affair. Obama, in particular, not only has been in the news, but has been getting a largely favorable reception. Clinton has been attacking, but she is afraid to go too far, for fear of being
portrayed as racist. She is also not going to attack him on his liberalism or inexperience, as she has those
same weaknesses. And yet, with everything going in their favor, they are
slipping in the polls.
So, what are we to conclude but that Obama will be a certain loser in the general election? Even with the deck stacked heavily in his
favor, he can't hold on to the voters. What will happen once he finally has an opponent who CAN bring up his inexperience, his left wing politics, and his questionable friendships? (That is, provided McCain gets over his
silly opposition to actually attacking another candidate.)
I just can't see any other
possible result. Unless McCain has a sex change and begins a lesbian affair with Hillary before November, I can't see any outcome but an
Obama loss.
