Not so long ago I mentioned that Obama is not the sure winner the press would have us believe, and
recent fund raising numbers argue that I was right.
Last month, Obama, master fund raiser, managed to raise only $1 million more than McCain ($22M vs $21M). As I said before, given the supposed public hatred of Bush, their exhaustion with the Republican party, our continuing "losing" war (or at least the war where the press manages to ignore any successes), and Obama's "overwhelming support", shouldn't he be outperforming McCain handily?
I think a lot of pundits, and not just liberal ones, will be eating crow come November.

Should I prove wrong, I will be the first to admit my error and attempt to understand why I was mistaken. However, I have few worries on that front.
On the other hand, will all these pundits promising an Obama cakewalk (and many conservatives seem to be joining that group) admit their failures come the McCain presidency? Or will they simply pretend they were right all along, and continue on issuing predictions as if nothing happened?
That will be interesting to see.
