I have
mentioned this before*, but again, Australian scientists are predicting
reduced sunspot activity will reduce worldwide temperatures 1-2C for the next 10 to thirty years.
So, if the global warming theorists are right, what we need to do to save global agriculture in the more northerly climes is to fire up the SUVs, the coal fired power plants, and all those other CO2 producing devices to counteract this cooling.
Of course, the whole AGW thesis seems to forget about sunspot activity. In fact their "hockey stick" graph does not show any global warming or colling from about 1000 AD through 1900 AD, which would mean sunspot cycles must have no effect on the earth at all.
Which is yet another great reason to completely dismiss global warming theories. Not only do they deny that there was any significant warming in the period from 1000 AD to 1900 AD, despite historical records and viking settlements in areas now buried under ice,t hey also appear to claim sunspots have no impact either.
If you want a reason to dismiss AGW, the fact that the theories completely ignore all contradictory evidence would be a good place to start.
The funny part is, even if ten years hence the global temperature is 2C cooler, I bet the proponents will still tell us that somehow global warming is to blame. (Or maybe they will return to the 1970 vintage fear of anthropogenic global cooling by then.)
