Best of the Web points out a new Obama gaffe:
We'll give you three guesses which political leader said this:
Throughout our history, America's confronted constantly
evolving danger, from the oppression of an empire, to the lawlessness
of the frontier, from the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor, to the threat
of nuclear annihilation. Americans have adapted to the threats posed by
an ever-changing world.
Hint: The speaker was born in Hawaii. Thinking that perhaps it was a transcription error, we checked the video, and sure enough, he actually said "the
bomb." Could our speaker be mixing up Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima, or
Nagasaki? In any case, it's perhaps the biggest Pearl Harbor goof since
Sept. 7, 1988, when George H.W. Bush got the month of the attack wrong.
And again, I have to ask, had our president said this, can you imagine the laughs that the left would have had. Why, it would have supported another volume of "Bushisms". It would be the December 7th entry in the 2009 Bushisms Calendar.Or maybe they would conflate father and son gaffes and make it the September 7th entry. In any case, had Bush made half the errors Obama has, and oddly enough Bush
HASN'T made even half as many gaffes as Obama, he would be a laughingstock.
So how is it that Obama gets three lapdog anchors trailing him through the middle east calling him all but the new messiah, while Bush is called an imbecile?
