Whenever I
mention defense concerns and Obama's combined
lack of experience and
faith in the unlimited power of negotiation, people accuse me of playing to fears. Apparently they believe having pacified Iraq and Afghanistan, we are no longer in danger.
Well, in addition to what should be obvious threats form North Korea and Iran, we now have this from Russia. I mentioned before that Putin and his puppet successors have aggressive plans for expansion and that the US is an obvious impediment to those plans. The left has pooh poohed such worries, but can anyone explain to me another reasonable explanation for
Russian plans to place bombers in Cuba? Russia claims it is because we are placing missile defenses in eastern Europe, but why should they care unless they anticipate conflict with the US?
And what would precipitate conflict with the US except for their obvious designs on the former Soviet Republics? Or perhaps all of the old Soviet sphere of influence?
Still think Obama won't do any harm?
