Earlier
I praised Debra Saunders for being braver than any of our presidential or vice presidential candidates and admitting that the economy is still essentially sound. Now I also have to give credit to
Jonah Goldberg for writing about something I have been saying since at least
January, if not earlier, that this housing "crisis" is
the fault of government, and, not just that, but the recent high profile Wall Street failures are to be laid at the doorstep of no evil "greedy businessmen", but instead
blamed on congress and its attempts to "
extend home ownership".
I have said it before, but I think it is worth repeating. If we ever destroy the US, it will not be because of war or pollution or even dictatorship. If this country ever collapses, it will be from an excess of
good intentions.
