A Question For Republican Politicians

Just today, on Townhall, Thomas Sowell, Mona Charen, David Limbaugh, and Ken Blackwell, all pointed out both the role of liberal lending policies ("encouraged" by Democrats in congress), and most specifically the community group ACORN, in the current financial mess. Recently, Ann Coulter also pointed out the part played by the Democrats, especially Clinton, in creating and then perpetuating this problem, as well as the way the Democrats fought Republican efforts to reign in the worst abuses. Now, of course, the media is ignoring this, and presenting nothing but the Pelosi party line that Bush is somehow behind it all, but I have another question:

Where are the Republicans?

You would think with the Democrat fingerprints all over this crisis, and especially the involvement of community organizer/voter fraud organization ACORN, with its ties to Obama, the Republicans would be trying to present all of this information.

It is hardly a secret. I have been decrying the role of government since the beginning of the year, and I am privy to no insider information. Everything has been on the table for some time, conservative pundits have made sure the facts are out there. Yet the Republican party has been timid to the point of silence in presenting all of this.

Why?

Republicans, you are already being blamed for this crisis, things can't get any worse. Why are you afraid to present evidence which will clearly damn the Democrats? Why are you hesitant to present this to the public and let them decide? It is an election year, the media cannot silence you completely. Why are you holding back?

It is time to present the facts. Let the public know the whole story. This is not the time to let Pelosi define the debate. Take the initiative for once, and make the Democrats take a little of the blame for the problems they created.
