Gasoline is selling for under $3 per gallon almost everywhere.
The Dow is up 1000 points from its low and seems to still be rising.
The economy continues to grow, not even all that slowly, though fourth quarter numbers may be off somewhat.
Unemployment number show no sudden spikes despite the economic situation. In fact, the four week moving average at the end of October actually showed a decline.
Home prices are leveling off or increasing, with home sale volume increasing.
Credit is easier to obtain, though obviously not as insanely easy as it once was. (Though that too is a good thing.)
Strange, the press seems to be ignoring all this good news. I wonder when they will get around to telling us about it? Maybe when they can attribute it all to Dear Leader Obama?
Call me paranoid if you want, but remember how horrified the press was about "the oil crisis"? Yet not word about its end. How horrified they were about the housing bubble bursting? Not a word there either. And they were convinced we were entering the new great depression, but not a word about the recovery of the stock market, the flat unemployment numbers and the relatively good quarterly growth data.
I don't think it is paranoia to note that the press seems intent on burying any good news until after the ballots are cast.
