I am off to yet another of my endless medical appointments, so it will be some time before I write again. However, I have been writing some notes on what I want to publish in the immediate future. So, to tide you over until I get back, here is a list of upcoming writing:
1. The remaining installments in my "My Vision of Government" series
2. The promised overview of my thoughts on our worship of youth and the consequences
3. The importance of predictability, and how legal activism and cultural balkanization are destroying predictability both legally and culturally
4. Thoughts on the significance of the theory that homosexuality is genetic, as well as a few comments on modern myths about homosexuality and sexuality in general.
5. A summary of all my writing on taxation, including a general theory of taxation, several proposals for improving taxation, and my objections to the FairTax proposal.
6. The remaining installment in my series "Monetary Issues Made Simple"
7. A comprehensive argument for federalism.
8. The differing standards of proof used for legal culpability, scientific proof and proof of the existence of G-d.
9. A debunking of those who compare third world micro-loan programs tot he ill-conceived Community Reinvestment Act.
10. A summary of the best bits of my spelling and grammar nazi posts.
11. A synopsis of all I have written on protectionism and related economic foolishness.
12. An overview of the historical shifts of the parties as well as the changes int he overall conception of government, and a few thoughts on where we are headed.
13. A summary of my thoughts on what the Republican party needs to do to remain viable and perhaps to restore its position.
14. A summary of my older essays on how our view of others effects our choice of government. As this related to my Vision of Government posts, it may end up being part of that series, rather than an independent work.
15. The effects of our modern tendency to turn every behavior into a disorder.
16. A broad overview of our current financial woes, how we got here, and what the current government efforts are likely to do.
17. And, of course, more posts on how dreadful Wikipedia is.
In addition to all that, time permitting, I hope to bring my blog index up to date, a sit currently is about 6 months behind, which makes it pretty much useless.
So, stay tuned. I don't promise that I will write everything I hope to, but at least some of those topics will be covered. But, as I am unlikely to write all of it, if you have a particular interest in seeing something, or I suppose if you have a dread of being forced to sit through something else, let me know and I will try to cover or avoid what you request.
And with that, I am off to be poked and prodded by medical people. I will write when I return.
