Earlier, I said Obama's policy against members of his staff becoming lobbyists
would be ineffective as they could accept the post without accpetiong the title of "lobbyist". Today's
Best of the Web proves my prediction right. Tom Daschel, prevented by law from becoming a "lobbyist", instead became a "special policy advisor" to a lobbying firm, earning $5 million over the last two years.
Gee, wonder if any Obama staffers would take similar non-lobbyist lobbyist positions? Oh, but I am sure they would all obey the spirit and not the letter of the Obama injustcion. After all Democrats are not corrupt like Republicans after all. For example Daschel... oh, wait, he was Demcorat wasn't he?
