George Will must have remembered he is supposed to be a conservative pundit, so he decided to throw a bone to the right. Or else he suffers from some strange schizophrenia, which allows him to be truly conservative in the third week of all months with R's. Whatever the case,
he wrote a piece strangely favorable toward
federalism, even briefly mentioning
repealing the 17th amendment. It is oddly in line with many things
I have proposed in the past.
But don't worry, I am sure it won't last. Get ready for more irrelevant baseball analogies and calls for "common sense" interventions.
