Who Could He Be Talking About?

President Obama had an interesting quote in Europe:
It's always harder to forge true partnerships and sturdy alliances than to act alone. … In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world. Instead of … seeking to partner with you … there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.
I wonder what he could be thinking of? Maybe sending home the loaned Churchill bust? Or sending a letter to the former president of France? Or maybe snubbing the PM of England? His statement to Canada that they should ignore his protectionist diatribes as they were just "campaign rhetoric"? Or the blocking of Mexican trucks from the US in violation of NAFTA? Or plans to impose cap and trade, despite the fact that the subsidies proposed may bring WTO retaliation? Maybe his back room attempt to sell out allies in eastern Europe to Russia? Or his snubbing of Israel in a futile attempt to court Iran?

Oh, no, he means the former president who formed a coalition of nearly 100 nations to invade Iraq, after waiting through 17 UN resolutions. Yes, clearly a unilateral snub of Europe. The president who did all he could to get world approval before making a move after an unprovoked attack killed 3000 civilians on our soil? Yes, that is certainly out of line.

Unlike our current president and his state gifts picked up at best Buy.
