I wrote in "
Something to Bear in Mind" that the "common sense" laws congress passes often end up causing endless harm unanticipated by those who found the protections so "sensible". Well, it seems that the public is slowly coming to recognize this, thanks to the laws passed in the wake of the 2007 lead scare. At least
some media articles are appearing highlighting the disproportionate costs.
