Today is an unusual day all around. Not only was I uncharacteristically quiet (partly due to a flu I am still fighting off, and partly due to taking my son to a Halloween event), but I am also going to plug
an article on another blog.
Now, I can't say that I agree with the post 100%, but it is an interesting theory on the reason behind AARP's overly enthusiastic endorsement of Obama's health plan, when, in the past, they have objected to deals much less harmful to their constituency. (Eg. They opposed even token premiums for catastrophic health care, yet they are in the tank for this plan which clearly reduces benefits for seniors?) I can't say with certainty the explanation offered here is correct, but it is interesting.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a more quiet day, and I will feel more like myself, allowing for more posts. Until then, sorry for the unusual silence, hopefully the link will at least give you something interesting to read.
UPDATE (10/12/2009): Apologies to those who tried to follow this link earlier. Something happened to the HTML generated by the TH editing software and it had several links embedded in one another. I have fixed it now, but it was a mess.
